TSA: Ice Pick Hidden in Cane at Newark

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) discovered a steel ice pick inside of a cane at Newark Liberty International (EWR) Airport Thursday.

After running it through an X-ray machine, officials reported that the TSA agents detected something in the handle of the Maplewood cane. The accessory was then confiscated and its owner was provided with another cane from EWR’s lost and found.
