Three Injured After Air Canada Landing

Three Air Canada passengers were taken to hospital on Wednesday after the small passenger plane sustained damage while landing in Newfoundland.  The aircraft’s landing gear was damaged while being lowered at Gander International Airport (YQX), and according to one passenger, the snowy, windy weather affected the aircraft’s landing. In a prepared statement, Air Canada said that passengers who were not taken to the hospital were provided hotel accommodations, and that two of the three passengers injured had been released from the hospital.

That picture is from Sept 11, 2001, when flights were diverted to Gander and parked there. It's not like that now so there is room on the runway.
