A squirrel is reportedly responsible for a loss of power at part of the terminal and traffic signals area at Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) Friday.
The blackout was allegedly due to the rodent crawling along a power line and into a substation in Cheektowaga. The squirrel, which was eventually electrocuted, caused outages at gates 15-26 and also left approximately two dozen homes in the area without power for nearly two hours.
