Report: Baggage Areas Are Unprotected

A report from NBC I-team claims baggage and pick-up areas at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) are lacking in security cameras. The group conducted their research at the terminals of both airports, as well as at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), and found blind spots at LaGuardia and Newark a day after the suicide bombing of Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST). Frank Conti, first vice president of the Port Authority PBA, said: “We have no cameras in the frontage roadways at our airports — no cameras in the common areas, food courts and no video surveillance once you pass screening and go down into the gate areas.”

no excuse for the lack of security. considering the port authority is in charge, have you crossed a bridge or driven thru a ny tunnel lately ? if you have im sure your wallet was much lighter after you paid the outragious toll.
