New Tool Aims to Help Travelers Get Most from Hotel Points

Awayz launched in February 2023, with the goal of determining if a stay is a better deal using points or cash based on the credit cards in your wallet and your loyalty status.
Awayz Pulls Data from Multiple Points to Determine Best Opportunities
One of the challenging parts of determining the best value for points is the math that goes into it, combined with an estimate of how much points are worth. Awayz sets out to make the calculations less complex, helping more travelers get the most out of their points and miles.
Combining real-time data of hotel pricing, points balances and credit card benefits, Awayz is a live cash and award pricing app online. Launching with three points programs – Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy, and IHG One – the website shows the best price options at over 15,000 properties worldwide.
“Specifically, users are shown a pricing breakdown of their hotel and bank points so they know how much to redeem from the respective programs for any given stay,” explains a company press release. “In addition, Awayz uses natural language processing that continuously pulls rewards data from transfer partners, ensuring that users are receiving the latest best points redemption options.”
In addition to working with the three hotel loyalty programs, the app also compares balances from bank transfer programs to add with comparison shopping. Awayz provides support for American Express Membership Rewards, Bilt, and Chase Ultimate Rewards, claiming to have a 99% accurate price comparison from all sources.
Awayz offers a free option with live cash and award pricing, along with two paid plans. The premium options, ranging from $5.99 to $11.99 per month (with an annual subscription discount), support calendar views, hotel deal alerts, active free night certificates, fourth and fifth night free promotions, and recommendations based on credit cards. The new app can be accessed online at awayz.com.
Just about useless for me. I'm in N.E. and most major cities are excluded. However, Boston did come up and the listings were accurate. If this site is to become useful for most, than towns and smaller cities need to be listed.
Just tried the free version. I used Las Vegas as destination, and the results were quite acurate... Most good redemption spots there are with Hyatt.
Did a search for several cities and dates. At first I thought it was broken as it always said that the best value is the cash rate. Eventually I found 1 or 2 hotels the points was the best value. Perhaps they over value points?? Interesting idea and I love how it shows which hotels are available with which points.
Sorting by "best points value", "N/A" comes first. It should come last or not at all.
In initial testing, it looks like only big cities are in their database. Rome and Milan are the only two places they cover in Italy as far as I can tell.
