Man Throws Power Bank Angrily in Security Line, Causes Explosion

A man traveling through Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST) caused a disruption when he threw a mobile power bank in anger after being told that the item would not be allowed aboard his flight due to a ban on the item for flights between Turkey and the United Kingdom. The power bank exploded upon colliding with a hard surface, causing the gate lobby to fill with smoke.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
