Turbulence Makes Disgusting Mess

Photos captured by passengers on a recent Air New Zealand flight highlighting the effects that severe turbulence can have on an aircraft cabin have gone viral. The flight, from Tokyo to Auckland, was carrying 294 passengers when the turbulence set in reportedly just one hour into the trip. A spokesperson for the carrier said, there was “unexpected strong turbulence during the in-flight meal service.”

Though no injuries were reported, a Reddit user, who released one of the two photographs, claims quite a few screams were heard as “everything went up in the air.”
