Emirates Introduces Charge for Advance Seat Selection

Middle-Eastern airline Emirates announced on Tuesday that effective October 3 of this year, passengers will have the option of paying a fee for the ability to select assigned seats in its two lowest-priced categories of economy seating before flights are boarded. The fees will range between $15 for short-haul flights departing Dubai to $40 for long-haul flights to the U.S., Canada and Australia, among others.

So what's new. British Airways charges a fee to book a seat more than 24 hours in advance for their BUSINESS Class passengers!!
