Emirates Descent Incident Under Investigation

An Emirates Airlines Airbus A380 descended below minimum assigned altitude on its approach to  Melbourne Tullamarine International (MEL) airport last week. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is investigating.

“When cleared for the runway 34 RNP approach, the aircraft descended below its assigned altitude of A030 and out of controlled airspace. The controller alerted the crew and the aircraft climbed back to A030,” it says.

Ironic that no one is nearly as concern with the professionalism of this crew as they were about the UA pilot from WV....
