Emergency Landing Led Actress to Pen Goodbye Letter on UA Flight

Actress Geraldine Hughes (Rocky Balboa) is claiming she penned a “goodbye letter” to her partner on a United Airlines flight from Northern Ireland to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) that made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport (SNN) Monday. The flight reportedly encountered a mechanical issue that left several passengers unnerved.

“It was awful,” Hughes said of the incident.

“It is amazing what this sort of situation does, because we knew for two hours that maybe the landing gear wasn’t going to work and we kept hearing this noise.”

The Boeing 757-200 did land safely and no injuries were reported among the crew or passengers.

Oh, C'mon... I know UA's service is bad, but it's not THAT bad!
