Choice Hotels Launches Points Experiences for College Football and Basketball Season

Choice Hotels’ Privileges Awards members will be able to use their points to get one-of-a-kind experiences at college football and basketball games, including free hotel nights.

With college football season just around the corner, Choice Hotels wants to get you closer to the game with your hard earned points.

The hospitality company announced the second season of Choice Privileges Experiences in partnership with LEARFIELD, offering 47 total redeemable experiences across 18 NCAA Division One Schools.

Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Wisconsin Participating in Choice Promotion

Under the renewed program, Choice Privileges members can use their points for “exclusive college football and basketball gameday experiences during the 2023-2024 season.” Some of the biggest names in college sports are participating, including the University of Alabama, the University of Florida, the University of Michigan, the University of Oklahoma, The Ohio State University, and the University of Wisconsin.

While the plans are perfect for the ultimate fans, they come at a high price and with certain limitations. During football season, the experiences are only valid for limited dates. Packages start at 25,000 points, all the way to 175,000 points for the gold-level experiences at the prestigious universities.

For example: Alabama’s gold package includes pre-game hospitality passes, an escorted pre-game visit to the sideline, and up to $1,500 in travel vouchers, but no hotel stay. The Ohio State package includes many of the same benefits for the same price, but also includes a two-night Choice Hotel stay. Lower-tier packages cost between 50,000 and 100,000 points, and come with even more limited choices and no hotel stay.

The full suite of football season packages is available on Choice Hotel’s website. Basketball packages will be announced closer to the season beginning.

College Package Renewal Comes as Choice Integrates Radisson Hotels into Program

The renewed college sports fan package comes on the heels of Choice integrating Radisson Hotels into their system. The former Radisson Hotels Americas properties became bookable through Choice in July 2023, allowing travelers a seamless way to book and earn points at over 7,400 hotels.
