Capital One Lands Four New Transfer Partners for Mileage Earning Cards

Cardholders of mileage-earning Capital One credit cards now have four new transfer partners with which to use their earned points. Three airlines and a hotel chain have all signed on with the credit card issuer: British Airways, TAP Air Portugal, Turkish Airlines and Choice Hotels.

Flyers who hold the Capital One Venture Rewards Card or the Capital One Spark Miles for Business credit card now have four new transfer partners for their earned miles. CNN reports cardholders can now transfer their miles to three international airlines and a hotel chain: British Airways, Choice Hotels, TAP Air Portugal and Turkish Airlines

Three International Airlines and Choice Hotels Join Growing List of Partnerships

When Capital One originally launched their mileage cards, flyers could use their points towards discounted travel by using them to “erase” travel charges. In 2018, the program changed course and announced a number of transfer partners, putting their cards in the same league as offerings from American Express and Chase.

The four new programs give flyers even more flexibility with their travel options. When transferring miles to British Airways Executive Club Avios or Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles, every two Capital One miles transferred will yield 1.5 miles in either program. Transfers to TAP Miles&Go or Choice Privileges will move at a one-to-one ratio.

The new programs will join the current list of 13 airline partners and two hotel transfer partners with Capital One. Cardholders can transfer miles at a one-to-one ratio with Aeromexico, Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France-KLM Flying Blue, JetBlue TrueBlue and Wyndham Rewards. Singapore Airlines and Accor Live Limitless are also partners, but two Capital One miles equal one point in each program.

New Partners Latest Move to Add Transfer Options Among Credit Cards

Capital One’s move comes in a season where credit card companies are adding more transfer partners to keep customers happy. In December 2020, Chase announced they would add Aeroplan as both a co-brand and transfer partner for Ultimate Rewards.

I went to Cozumel in late January and came back on Valentine's Day on AA. I was supposed to use Verifly. The app is a piece of junk, and I spent over two hours attempting to download my COVID test into it. I emailed for help, and none was provided. I would not count of using Verifly to provide your documentation-I would have it available in hard copy. It wouldn't even let me put in my flight information.
