A Centurion Lounge Is Finally Coming to LAX
After several years of rumors, American Express has confirmed that a Centurion Lounge is coming to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in 2019.
The new lounge will be located in Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) just after the TSA checkpoint security and will be roughly 13,900 square feet.
So far, the following amenities have been confirmed:
- spa
- family room
- custom wall installations
- free chef-crafted bites
- wines and cocktails
- workspaces
- access to Wi-Fi
- restrooms and showers
In addition to those, fairly standard amenities, the new Centurion Lounge at LAX will feature a special “tranquility area” with “both brightly-lit and dimly-lit quiet areas to help global travelers adjust to new time zones as they travel internationally.”
“On the heels of announcements that we will be bringing new Centurion Lounges to New York and Denver, we are thrilled to open our next lounge in Los Angeles, the #2 U.S. airport our Platinum Card Members travel through,” said Josh McKay, vice president and general manager, Global Benefits and Services, American Express.
The L.A. location will be the 12th lounge for the brand.

LAX T7 already has one of the nicest United lounges in the country. That might be overkill.
You chose the wrong terminal. Should have been in terminal 7
