In Brief: Emirates Won’t Leave Passengers on the Tarmac for More Than 2 Hours

Emirates is rolling out a new policy that specifies passengers cannot be left onboard a plane on the tarmac for more than two hours after a flight delay. The announcement comes after a recent fog heavily impacted takeoff times at airports in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, leaving one Etihad Airways flight to San Francisco grounded for 12 hours.

Thank you Emirates. Wish other airlines would follow suit with this pledge!
