This hotel used to be so much more. Now, it has become just another hotel in the crowd of hotels that you can choose from in New York City.
Check In
The Check In experience is always chaotic and noisy. There is no line to stand in but rather a gathering of people all trying to get waited on at the same time. The staff does their best to be cheerful and attentive but fail due to the set up of their front desk.
Dining
This hotel used to have a great morning breakfast. It has been replaced with a bagel bar that serves a couple of juices and coffee. Don't plan on this being a place to get a full-service breakfast. Quite the disappointment.
Room
The rooms are large by New York City standards. The beds are comfy and the use of an almost full-service kitchen add quite a nice touch. The refrigerator even has a real freezer in it as well! My only complaint was that the last time I stayed there, the cooling unit was in such bad shape that it could not keep the room cool when the sun was blaring outside. I was told they could move me but not for a day... so I sweltered my first night in the city and did not get a good nights rest due to the hot room I was stuck to sleep in.
