Singular Patagonia

The suite was warm and spacious, elegantly furnished in period style pieces, with a comfortable sitting area, a generous desk and a table with 2 chairs. There is a pair of floor to ceiling windows that span one side of the room, providing calming views of the fjord and snow capped mountains. The bed had luxurious linens and faced the windows, making it the perfect spot to watch the relaxing waves of the fjord. Housekeeping kept the room immaculate during our stay, and provided turn down service at night. The bathroom was large and luxurious and had heated floors, a soaking tub, a rain shower head and a separate WC.

Despite the period look, Singular has all the modern amenities travelers need – HDTV (though there were very few English channels) and lots of power outlets. The wifi was pretty decent, fast enough to stream videos.

Dining at Singular is a five-star experience, with excellent food and drinks and impeccable service. The menu did not change during our stay, however, there were sufficient choices, and every meal was delicious. Desserts were beautiful and satisfying. The breakfast buffet did not disappoint either, with made-to-order omelets, salmon and meats, fruits, granola, fresh fruit juices and excellent espresso coffee prepared as ordered (cafe latte, cappuccino, etc)

Singular Patagonia is in Puerto Bories, which is about 10 minutes from Puerto Natales, where one can find lots of restaurants and other conveniences such as grocery stores and ATMs. It’s difficult to find flights to Puerto Natales, so getting to Singular will require flying to Punta Arenas and driving 3 hours to reach the hotel. Most people come to Singular to experience the beauty of Patagonia. Torres del Paine is 2 hours away, Serrano Glacier can be visited via a boat tour, and estancias are in the area for horseback riding.

The hotel staff at Singular made our experience truly wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They always greeted us warmly, opened doors, had the funicular (elevator) waiting. The staff at reception answered any question graciously and always with a smile.
