Club lounge is located on the 12th floor and opened in September 2019. Finishes are high quality and appears the hotel has converted what was originally meeting/event space to create a lounge. Rest of the 12th floor is event space. The lounge has double height ceiling. The lounge is long and generally open plan with the high ceiling so lacks intimacy of many lounges. The lounge is located on the opposite side of the hotel to the pool and gardens so views from the lounge aren't great.
Lounge is open all day to serve tea, coffee and soft drinks. Although there is a fridge containing drinks and a coffee machine service is always waiter provided.
Breakfast served 6am to 10.30am includes small buffet plus cook to order menu.
Afternoon tea served 3pm to 5pm. Nothing is set out but afternoon tea can be ordered from menu. Full afternoon tea for one is as picture. The savoury items are freshly made and served with warn toasted bread.
Afternoon Tea tray
Evening drinks and snacks served 6pm to 9pm. Beside soft drinks choice of 4 white wines and 4 red wines served. The wines served are better than low quality house wines often served in a lounge. No champagne offered. There are also 3 or 4 bottled beers on offer plus main spirits and simple cocktails.
A buffet is set out including 4 or 5 hot items, a selection of sushi, cheeses, cut fruit and desserts.
There is also a evening cook to order menu. The cook to order items are good. You are welcome to order as much as you wish. It is very easy to order a full evening meal if you wish.
Roasted Tomato Soup
Salmon Teriyaki
Hainan Chicken Rice
Lounge buffet offering is not as extensive as some lounges but what is on offer is high quality and the made to order menu items at different times are good and ensure items are fresh. With food prepared to order there can be a short wait to receive items.
The lounge was never crowded during my stay. Even at peak evening times there were always plenty of seats available and staff to guest ratios ensured attentive service.
The lounge offers check out if required and basic hotel reception and concierge services.
Raffles Club offers an above average lounge experience.
Overall
Excellent service from airport transfer to airport transfer.
Le Club benefits provided or offered without asking. Room upgrade confirmed in advance over and above expectation.
Raffles Club is a step up from a normal lounge. Buffet selction is not as big as some lounges but the option to order cook to order items at breakfast, afternoon tea and evening take it up a notch. Rivals the best Ritz Carlton clubs.
Faults - Can't really think of any. If pushed the club could be a bit more intimate and I have experienced better pool amenities in other deluxe hotels.
Pool
Located on 14th floor along with garden and gym.
Besides towels and sunbed mattresses iced water and fruit brought to you on arrival. However iced water was not proactively replenished.
