Though it is a published benefit on the SPG website, and staff will tell you upon check-in that the charge for the internet will be reversed, that doesn't happen. Then one has to argue w/the front desk at check-out to get it reversed. Further, some of them are adamant it is only complimentary for Golds & Platinums even though the website clearly says otherwise. Despite claims from hotel management that this was a glitch & would be looked into, it continued for my colleague after my departure. Would love to know how much money this hotel has made w/this scam, because that's what it is.

This was once a UCLA dorm but rooms vary greatly in size and layout-I have to wonder if some of that is from the 2007 celebrity makeover. Not a fan of the beds which don't have box springs again courtesy of the celebrity makeover in '07 apparently.

Will, the bellman, was very attentive, as was one of the barmen who's name I'm ashamed to admit I forget, but most of the rest of the staff aren't interested unless the guest is a celebrity. Had the sliders in the bar (where they are $8 less than in STK right next door even though they are made in the same kitchen); fries are some of the best I've ever had!

Did not use the spa myself, but my two colleagues raved about the massages they had there.

Location can't be beat, which accounts for the prices & attitude from the staff in my opinion; there are very few other options w/in walking distance to UCLA. Having said that, I've moved my company's business elsewhere because of continued problems w/the hotel and, bottom line, it's simply not a hotel for business travelers.
