After a smooth and timely airport pickup and transfer to the hotel, it just became one disappointment after another.  Topping the list...No Ski In-Ski Out.  This was the absolute #1 reason we selected this property in lieu of the Beaver Creek Park Hyatt  which we have stayed at the past ten years.   Roughly three weeks since opening with plenty of snow outside my window, the lift is stagnant.  The reasons ranged from..

1. We have an upcoming event this weekend.
2. We do not have adequate staffing
3. We typically open this lift a week before Christmas
4. The lift is normally open two weeks after the season begins.

The problem is that the Viceroy promotes itself as a ski in/ski out property but fails to identify the conditions under which this benefit applies...simply stating  "Enjoy the ease of a ski-in/ski-out privileges".

We decide to visit happy hour so I attempt to call the front desk for the nest hours but our in room phone was not working so.... We walk down to find the nest is closed.

I begin looking to move up the slopes into a condo.  I requested a daily prorated bill reflecting the current package we purchased in the event I can secure new accommodations.  The response was not equitable even though management continues to express the "please let us know if there is anything we can do" sentiment.

This is my first icon pass/hotel experience and will most likely be returning to epic next year.
