Thanks very much MileKing! I too just left the hotel!I missed you by just one day! Catch you next time!

Yes, I essentially agree that it was fine for a brief vist, but I might stop just short of any "W" comparisons!

This Four Points used to be a Days Inn, just as the Sheraton Suites was once a Westin (until about 2 yrs ago I believe and a few other flags (Sheraton etc) in past years as I recall. I believe that these two properties also have the same owner and so they share some facilities.

Room

I too received a room on the 5th floor (SPG floor). Also, not a suite and I believe there is only one, fwiw. The room was certainly fine but a bit worn, yet I have no issues with the somewhat spartan decor. No place for a towel by the sink though!

Service

Though there was no Platinum amenity initially in the room I also later received a nice basket of "goodies" including Kettle chips, an orange, water, soda, granola bar pretzels, a hershey bar and some sucking candies/mints. In addition, there was a complimentary drink voucher for the lobby bar and a free breakfast voucher for the cafe included in it. Considering that I would likely have never called to ask, I really liked getting this. I have not ever received a better Platinum amenity!

My nightcap made by Dan just before he closed up, which I needed like a hole in the head since I'd just returned back from a dinner party was also excellent.

All they had at breakfast was a buffet so I grabbed a coffe a split and enjoyed a bagel later. Incidentally, they have free coffee in the lobby in the morning too!Service was generally fine. Parking is supposedly free for guests all the time according to the website but at the desk they did say it was only weekends as you note. Melissa asked to xerox my printout explaining this, and so I naturally obliged! The free 24hr airport shuttle ran very frequently.

As you say, a slight/typical negative is the $1.25 for local calls and 800# access charge. Yet, as I often do, I just avoided this.

On the bright side, there was no energy surcharge, although I'd thought and exxpected that there might be one! I hate this surcharge, like most of us!

They have a very small business center and I also ran over to the workout room next door and used the jaccuzzi as well! Curiously, while there were many US Airways folks staying at the Four Points, I saw a group from Midway staying over at the Suites!

And the best part, perhaps, for $49.00/nt, who's complaining! Thanks Starwood!
