"This Four Points was the first in Indonesia", Dewi proudly proclaimed to me while I handed her my ID. It was obvious the staff here are enthusted about the property and its guests. Front desk performance was spectacular with all the makings of a well seasoned hotelier team. No complaints.

The term "suite" is used very loosely here to describe the space. The room felt like it was thrown together haphazardly with no real design consideration. An absolute waste of an SNA if not for the fact it was expiring. The normal rooms looked to be better designed, but walking along the hallways and corridors of the hotel a lot of the window were exposed to the common areas, so be careful in choosing which room you're placed in. The only upside to this "suite" was the relative privacy it offers compared to the other room types.
Water pressure was downrightabysmal. If you're the type that's picky about that (it was barely more than a trickle), then this might be a dealbreaker.
Dining

I did not use at any of the on-site dining options as the property is very centrally located inside the back lanes of Kuta.
Location
Tucked in the back lanes of main Kuta, it can be a bit of a pain getting into the place due to traffic. I personally asked to be dropped off on the main road Jalan Legian and made the trek down Jalan Benesari into the hotel. Nonetheless because of its location you'd be spoilt for choice when it comes to options.
Pool
The hotel has three pools: the above, which shows the main lagoon pool, another kiddies pool and a little 'leisure' pool on the roof with an attached bar. The hotel is popular and crowded, and thus the pools were too. I did not indulge.

The finish and furnishing of the place was tasteful especially in the common areas, but it is a high traffic hotel with a variety of guests from all classes. At times it felt like a upscale hostel, there is definitely a social aspect to the design of the common areas, it felt like it was to faciliate mingling of guests.
The common spaces were perhaps the saving grace of the property. The front "lawn" of the hotel seems to be a popular spot with a lot of life and music. The rooftop space was amazing, I spent a couple hours up there at night just looking out over the Kuta night sky with sounds from various live music performances floating up to my ears. Coupled with strong winds blowing in the warm night, it was spectacular. There was even a bonus 'secret' garden up some stairs from the roof.
Check out was a breeze, again the front desk staff were extremely professional and knew what they were doing despite my throwing of curveballs they handled it with grace.
50/50 on whether to return.
