Stayed one night on the weekend and was upgraded by the property to an Andaz Suite, with a 11AM check in! Very happy. Was able to order whatever I wished at breakfast without any concern.

Interestingly room service ran out of Grey Goose. Went to Pink Dot, a 1 min walk, where it was much cheaper.

Checked out and moved to the Hyatt Century City to be near my LA office, and the Century Suite, Regency Club and overall ambience is all inferior to the Andaz. After 2 nights I checked out early and returned to the Andaz for a further 4 days, but used points to guarantee an upgrade.

The Diamond recognition on the second stay was much greater: Note from the GM, some amenity I cannot decipher, and the staff know me by name.

The one down side is I'm on the 12th floor on the side of The Comedy Store which is loud until late. Eventually got to sleep, however was awoken at 6AM by union protests out the front where men were yelling through megaphones. It appears to be targeted at the property and guests, is this worthy of a complaint?
