A reminder that if you fly Qantas you can earn 100% Alaska miles.
Also, when I booked Qantas SFO-SYD on Expedia the price dropped to $618 for some reason.

This is a nice sale and is very tempting! I wish the nonstops to AKL were more readily available at this price later in the year. They jump up to around $1000 but the SYD connections stay low priced. Trying to find something on SkyTeam and if so, I might jump at it for a quick trip for 3 days of fishing in September.

Ended up grabbing a pair of tickets on VA to CHC around Thanksgiving.
Paid $870 to get to CHC on VA on those dates, but that's OK, this will earn nearly 1600 DL MQDs with the 10% multiplier and almost 16K MQMs which should easily lock me down for PM this year at the rate things are going.

Fare rules dictate. I'd say it's a mistake, so save the fare rules...
Edit - I just checked the fare rules on AA.com and it shows $200 cancelation penalty, so it must be a web display error

I only found SFO to SYD, 5/5-5/7, $688 on Kayak.

If anyone booked these and are flying QF, remember to sign up for Alaska's Global Partners bonus for 200% flown miles on these economy fares. No other program on QF "O" fares will even come close.

Totally OFF-TOPIC ...what type of fishing? Might make it worth a run. TIAOriginally Posted by PV_Premier
