Saw this tonight on Phoenix newspaper website. http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blo...parting/163623
Alaska adding a 25 dollar fee to check oversize bags at gate and not let them on plane. Guess this is to stop people from trying to avoid checked lugagge fees by bringing them to gate for a " what used to be " free gate check.

So let me get this right, if you try and sneak a carry-on bag that's too big, and they catch you, you have to check it and pay the fee ($25) you should have paid in the 1st place?Originally Posted by glacierbear

The title of the thread is misleading... it should read "new oversized carry-on baggage penalties"Originally Posted by glacierbear
