I booked a number of ARN-LAX returns on the new route, travel between late March and early June. I noticed that a few of the flights are operated by A340's instead of A330(ER)'s, according to the booking engine and seatmap when selecting seats.
Interested if anyone knows the motivation and or wether they will prioritise refurbished airplanes as all other routes from ARN are served with the new cabin.
Since LAX and EWR will be scheduled together they must be flown with two aircrafts that have sufficient range to reach LAX. Therefore one of the refurbished A340s will be based at ARN from mid march until the fourth A330 HGW is delivered... ^
