My wife and I have booked FRA-BKK n November and BKK-FRA next January, both in F. I called Thai Air's Los Angeles reservation number to reserve seats and was told that there are no two seats together on either flight, because all the "F" seats (1F, 2F, 3F) have been blocked "for operational reasons". So we took 2A and 2E on both flights. But we've never flown on the 380 so we're just guessing. Assuming that 2F remains unavailable, would we be less isolated from each other if we got two window seats, one in front of the other? Or is A-E as close as we can get?
