Another "mini RTW" just booked prior to the latest devaluation for travel in April 2014.
We had originally planned on booking to the Seychelles, but Ethiopian has cancelled their Seychelles flights effective March 2014, so now there is no more Star Alliance to Seychelles. We settled on the Middle East instead.

Of interest: Dealt with two agents. Checked in advance and fed the flights to the first agent. The computer crashed and was handed over to a second agent who "verified the routing" prior to any ticketing being completed. On my last three redemptions, they didn't seem to care around routing however I got the impression that they were checking a bit more carefully than in the past. Fortunately, I used expertflyer to check the MPM and constructed itin's based on legal routings.
The fuel surcharges are getting out of hand.
But at least we should be getting new Lufthansa long haul business from Munich and a trip on the ANA 787.
Was also advised that changes after January 1, 2014 will result in additional points being taken (165,000 redemption rate). I assume this is likely before the travel is started.
