The food in the front to Port of Spain is really good. PTY also has good food service.
Here is a video of
PTY-IAH food. There were three choices and I had the steak.

Ha ha, well they had it right in the past if they want to go mess up a very profitable route, they can have at it.
There are different markets out there and UA need to be careful with Port of Spain. I have only had to sit in the back once on a flight to POS. All my other flights to POS were in F. It’s not about the free food as it is giving Caribbean Airlines (BW) one more reason to differentiate their product and fly the route.
BW has free bags and free food. Free bags are very important that to Trinidadians as they seem to take everything but the kitchen sink with them. BW starts POS-IAH, UA will have a hard time filling up their plane and they will also kill their cash cow. UA knows when they started EWR-POS it was daily but with BW JFK-POS they couldn’t make it work year round and fares were low because of BW. Houston doesn’t have the O/D Trinidadian population NYC does, so a BW POS-IAH will trash UA yields on the route not to mention put the whole route in danger.
Spirit Airlines has been very successful airline but they tired FLL-POS and it went bad really quick at the LLC model is solidly rejected by Trinidadians. Word spreads fast on that island. Also RedJet a new LLC started in the Caribbean a bout a year ago offering rock bottom fares and it didn’t last even though Intra-Caribbean fares are high. The people in that region espc Trinidad do not like LLC model being charged for food and bags, etc and put their money where their mouth is. LIAT the regional airline of the Caribbean offers free snacks and drinks on their short island hops. Free food is expected by local Caribbean people and since POS route mostly locals. I really do not want BW to start the route.
CO IAH-POS was highly rated by locals as it avoided MIA mess and CO provided great service on the route.
