AMEX transfer attempt to EK account with different name was canceled
Just FYI:
I personally attempted to transfer some AMEX in an EK account whose name did not match the AMEX donor account. The AMEX points were initially deducted, but the miles did not immediately post to EK.
The following day, I noticed that the deducted AMEX points were reinstated and a transaction detail showed that the transfer was canceled.
I called AMEX and they informed me it was because of the recipient EK account was not an additional cardholder on the AMEX account.
This is the first time EVER that an AMEX transfer to another recipient account with a different name was canceled.
Has anyone else had this issue with transfer attempts to EK (or other FF programs)?
