Just as data points I have used Uber twice more since that last ride, once from the Village to home on the UES where the fare was $22, about $5 in the Chrysler 300 more than I think that it would have been in a yellow, and again to LGA where the fare was again exactly $42 in a Town Car with an excellent driver. This Uber is some good service.

I paid a yellow $36 today from the Marine Terminal and if the yellows had not been lined up and ready to go at the Marine (as they frequently are not), I was ready to try Uber from the airport.
