An 81-year-old woman is suing El Al Airlines for discrimination after she was allegedly asked to move on a December 2015 flight because her Orthodox Jewish seatmate did not want to sit next to a woman. “The man had no other reason to complain than my gender – and that’s unlawful discrimination,” said Renee Rabinowitz, a retired attorney.

Rabinowitz is being supported by the Israel Religious Action Center (IRAC) and is seeking 50,000 shekels, or more than $13,000.
