On Thursday morning, a United Airlines flight began emitting flames from its engine after the aircraft collided with a bird in midair. The flight, which had departed from Chicago O’Hare Airport (ORD), returned shortly after takeoff due to the incident.
Footage filmed on a passenger’s phone showed the flames erupting from the engine.
