This Airport Could Soon Get an Indoor Forest
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) unveiled a “Flight Plan” in a public announcement last week that included a variety of updates as the airport prepares to welcome 35 million passengers in 2017. According to USA Today, the $5.6 billion fine-tuning includes a terminal expansion with the possibility of adding a new geothermal plant that will greatly reduce the airport’s greenhouse gas emissions,” and a bevy of new restaurants and an indoor glass forest.
