Severe Turbulence Injures 31

Thirty-one passengers sustained injuries aboard an Etihad Airways Flight to Indonesia due to heavy turbulence on Wednesday. The A330-200 Airbus flying from Abu Dhabi to Jakarta hit severe and unexpected turbulence approximately 45 minutes before safely landing at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), where nine passengers were taken to hospital for treatment. The remaining 22 have were released from the airport clinic after being treated by paramedics for minor injuries sustained during the flight.
