Flyers Face 12-Hour Delay After 2 Jet Faults

Passengers flying to Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) from Manchester Airport (MAN) on Thomas Cook Airlines faced a 12-hour delay Wednesday when two of their flights reportedly experienced faults that deemed them inoperable.

The first aircraft was on the runway when the AC caught fire and, after waiting two hours, the second aircraft set to accommodate them displaced flyers encountered a technical fault. The carrier has promised to compensate all 180 passengers.

“We’re really sorry for the long delay to the start of our customers’ holidays. Such a protracted series of delays is extremely rare and very unfortunate, and we will pay compensation to all customers affected,” said a Thomas Cook representative.
