Japan Airlines Engine Bursts Into Flames After Takeoff

On Tuesday, an aircraft operated by Japan Airlines landed safely at Haneda Airport (HND) shortly after takeoff after flames could be seen erupting from the aircraft’s left engine shortly after takeoff.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.

That's old news ... Quite quickly, local authorities were very skeptical about the bird-strike theory. They were rather in favor of an engine issue. I don't know the current state of investigations.
