Delta Draws Down MD-90 From Service

On June 23, Delta Air Lines has officially pulled the first of its Boeing MD-90 fleet from regular service as the carrier prepares to begin a three-year drawdown of its fleet of MD-88s. A Delta spokesman denied assertions that the carrier would be retiring the MD-90 completely, going on to say that the aircraft will “remain in our operations spec.”
