Boeing 757’s Landing Gear Catches Fire

A Boeing 757-200 operated by Aer Lingus made an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Monday after suffering a hydraulic failure. The landing gear reportedly sparked a fire on the runway upon landing. Fire officials confirmed the flames on EI110 to Shannon, though the aircraft made a safe landing and the situation was quickly controlled.
