BA to Begin Charging for Food and Drink on Short-Haul Flights

Effective tomorrow, all economy passengers aboard British Airways’ short-haul flights will have to pay extra for erstwhile complimentary food and drink. Business-class passengers and all customers flying aboard long-haul flights will continue to receive complimentary meals.

A spokesperson for rival carrier Ryanair said, “Given you can fly from London Stansted to Bucharest for the same price as a posh BA sarnie, this is just another good reason to fly Ryanair.”
