BA Invites Passengers to Test New Homepage

In an effort to make its website more accessible to mobile users, British Airways has started testing a new version of its homepage layout. The airline’s site claims to attract over 500,000 unique users a day, and it wants to streamline the booking process for those on computers, smartphones or tablets.

“To make sure we are getting it right for our customers, we have selected at random a small group of them who will be offered the opportunity to opt in to experience the new beta home page, and we will use their feedback to further develop and fine tune the experience for future customers,” said Sara Dunham, head of marketing for British Airways.

Promising an ‘app-like, flowing user-experience’, the redesigned homepage boasts a cleaner layout with a drop-down calendar menu.
