Wonderful Hotel - One of the Best!

A quick and easy 10 min walk from the airport, this hotel is well located. The signs were clear - started off with signs for The Circle but quickly changed to Hyatt signs - be careful as the Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Place are in 2 different locations - make sure you are heading for the correct one.  I have a trolley bag and found it easy to get to - flat and with lifts in the appropriate places.  I would have no hesitations of taking larger luggage to this hotel.

As I exited the lift into reception I was astounded at the beautiful decor - nice and open but for welcoming and warm. The staff were very friendly and explained everything I needed to know.

As I had booked their opening offer, I was entitled to a room upgrade which I had received before check in - view of airport or park..... on check in I was asked which I prefer..... more on that later!

The room I got was huge by any standard - a King bed in the centre, with a small sofa and desk thing to eat off I presume. There was also a proper desk and chair, a fridge and all the tea/coffee stuff that is normal. 

Now to the view - I was excited to get an airport view room - this was an upgrade and if I had paid extra I would have been pretty annoyed - I got a sliver of a view just past the Radisson. It is definitely not a great airport view. That said, the room was very quiet despite being in the centre of everything,

The bed was comfy, and had USB ports at the side for my to charge all my gadgets. The bathroom was also quite large and very well appointed. The shower over the bath was large, and lower so easier to get in (not for folks with mobility issues though) but it was strang pressure and woke me up in the morning. The hairdryer was probably the most powerful I have had in a hotel and that is great to see - with a plug next to a mirror!

I couldn't fault the service, both check in and in the restaurant/bar it was super friendly. 

As I had booked with the opening offer, I was entitled to a cheese platter and glass of wine so I went to the restaurant 'Zoom'. The restaurant is pretty big - lots of places to hide away and watch the world go by. The menu was quite good to and judging by the cheese plate and bowl of fries I had, the food was of a very high standard. Unfortunately I didnt have breakfast as I had an early morning flight - I did see bagged breakfasts whcih I am guessing you could ask for prior - not something I thought about but a nice touch.

There was also a place to buy cold food and drink to take to your room - dont do what I did and buy a glass of wine and then promptly drop it as you walk down the corridor!

A quick walk from the airport - nice and easy even with luggage!

A great hotel and I will be back for sure. Very modern, almost Scandiavian in taste but warm and welcoming. I may try the HR to compare next time but would hate to miss out on this little gem of an airport hotel!
