Check In

Check-in was a breeze and they had my room ready early - I checked in at 11am so super early but it was not bother at all. Trying to find the checkin desk was a little difficult as it is tucked away but the staff were wuick to jump in and help when I looked a little lost!

Room

The room was beautiful - bright, airey with wonderful aminities. It had a hige TV and a small electric fire which would make it very cosy if you wished for that. There was a tray of tea and coffee with a coffee machine. There was a small table in the corner - prob not the greatest work table but would do with a laptop if required.

The bathroom was magnificant - beautiful colour with petrol blue tiles, and I had a separate shower and both. My firend was in a King and she had just a shower so I guess if you want a bath ask for a room with one as not all have them. The toiletries were of high quality - I initially thought they were Molton Brown but were actually from a Scottish company and the smell was wonderful. They also providecd quite a few. The hairdryer was of good quality albeit the cord was a little short and the only plug next to a mirror was the kettle one!

The bed was comfy and the linens were wonderful - very high class feeling. Also, despite being in the centre of London, just round the corner from Trafalgar Square whcih was showing the England football matches, I heard nothing!

Service

The service was magnificent - from the door man who was very friendly to the receptionist, the barman and the breakfast waiter - all were trying everything they could to help whenever asked. A real plus point for the hotel.

Dining

We had a couple of drinks in the bar which was a nice place with a great atmosphere - both drinks were delicious. When we sat down it appeared that you needed to have reserved tables but the one we were at was OK - just be aware that you may not be able to breeze in for a cocktail later on in the evening without a reservation!

We didnt eat here but the menu looked great.  We did have breakfast in the hotel though and it was a buffet (not self serve though) and with everything covered, I had to sort of guess what I wanted - some labels next to the items would have made it a lot better! The food was tasty though - a high end breakfast I would say.

Location

The hotel is just round the corner from Trafalgar Square, and right next to Horseguards, No 10 and the like. It was just off the main street but felt like a differnt world as it was very quiet and calm. A brilliant location for all the sights but you dont feel like you are sat in the touristy bits!

Overall

A great stay in a wonderful and luxurious hotel.
