I stayed one night at the Grand Hotel. Both hotels gave me very good upgraded rooms (not suites).I was staying on a weekend night (Fri & Sat), and was paying a discounted corp rate of e220 at the Grand.

Room

At the Grand I had a corner room on the top floor with 3 terraces (one even in the bathroom!!). My view was toward the Excelsior and out towards the Ponte Vecchio and the tuscan hills--room 411.
