I had another good stay at this property.  The value for Platinums is excellent.  On average, the price is usually not very different from the Aloft across the street, so considering the value of having a Club Lounge I almost always stay at Sheraton instead of Aloft, except when the Sheraton happens to be a lot more expensive (which varies based on the dates).  In addition, point redemptions at Aloft increased this month from 7k to 10k and the Sheraton is still at 7k which makes no sense to me that Aloft is above the Sheraton.  Sometimes the cash rate at Sheraton on SPG.com is a bit on the high side but it's usually a sign that BRG will be easier, which was the case for my stay this time around.  I only paid $115 which is hard to beat for a hotel very close to the airport.

I often get a nice welcome back note in my room with a snack (popcorn) and a glass of wine or a bottle of beer.  They treat Platinum members well.

Room

In my previous comment earlier in this thread a few months ago, I mentioned that I had not received a suite upgrade for my last couple of stays, but this time I did.  So in the last 2-3 years I am probably at higher than 75% on suite upgrades which is excellent.  This is not a modern hotel - the rooms in the rotunda are a bit old. However the rooms accessed via the elevator in front of reception are newer and nicer.  I got a suite in that section of the hotel.  As you can see from the pictures there is nothing glamourous but for an airport hotel it is fine.  They have two kinds of suites in that portion of the hotel, mine was the smaller type which only has one bathroom.  The living room is separated from the bedroom by a wall partition but there is no door.  The bigger kind of suite which I had in the past (but not on the pictures below) has two full bathrooms.  Anyway both those suite types are more modern than the pictures from worldtraveller73's review back in October, which is a ground floor suite in the rotunda.  That suite is big, but quite dark and wifi reception not all that great.  Anyway, back to the suite I got, I should mention that water pressure in the shower is excellent and as you can see it's a walk-in shower which I like much better than hotels which have a shower in the bathtub.

Location

The location is very good - in fact the Aloft and Sheraton are the two closest hotels to the airport, besides the Marriott which is connected to the terminal.  However at Marriott you will pay far more than at Sheraton - sometimes double the price or more.  The Sheraton is only a few minutes away and the shuttle bus is frequent.  This location is much better than other airport hotels such as the Courtyard Airport, the Hilton Garden Inn Airport, etc. which are out of the way.

Dining

As I mentioned last year in this thread, it is quite good to have a hotel with a Club Lounge for this price, and especially with free flow wine and beer.  For North American standards, it is not the norm.  The lounge is more crowded than it used to be on week days for happy hour - perhaps a few Marriott Platinums who are now staying at Sheraton?  Just a guess.

During happy hour they have two hot dishes, veggies, bread, nachos & salsa, and one dessert.  They have somewhat upgraded the offerings because on one evening they had sushis which I had never seen before in my previous 20+ stays.  Food for breakfast was also a bit upgraded particularly the hot dishes.  They used to have scrambled eggs every morning but now they have more variety.  On the picture below you can see potatoes with kale and onions, and a fried egg with tomatoes served on a slice of bread.  For fruits they have blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries for breakfast rather than only standard hotel fruits, which I appreciate.

Gym

The gym is adequate and usually not very crowded.  You have a view of the airport's runway which I enjoy.  However the TV on half of treadmills does not work which is problematic.  They should fix this but I have observed this problem for several months.

Overall

Overall the Sheraton is a solid hotel.  It will not wow anybody especially if you have a room in the old rotunda, but if you are Platinum at a minimum you will get a Club room in the new section, and they are also generous with suite upgrades.  The price is often similar to other far less desirable options farther away from the airport.  So unless you want to pay a lot more for the convenience of the Marriott, the Sheraton is a good choice.
