Sheraton Bucharest Hotel

This was the 4th off 5 hotels I tried out this week in Bucharest. I had been unsure, but I had stayed at this hotel before and believe I had the same room as about five years ago.

Overall I would say this hotel has a decent location. Probably it is better situated than other hotels for those who want to do a mixture of business and tourism. But this is Biucharest so you have to overall always consider traffic patterns.

This was my favorite hotel amenities-wise. I loved the sauna and the small pool.

I checked in relatively later, at about 21:00 for a one.-night stay.

They recognized me as an ambassador and notified that I had a wonderful upgrade from my booked standard room. They gave me a sheet informing me about the lounge offerings.

I had checked in with web check in like each night in the 5 Bonvoy hotels with a request for a digital key. This one also failed to produce the digital key. Only the Courtyard managed to do this automatically.

I was offered help with my luggage, but I politely declined.

I try to avoid taking pictures of people. This was the best I could get of the reception area...

I do have to say the hotel looks a LOT different in its colorfully illuminated portrait available in the app.

The bathroom is night the most modern looking but was perfectly fine. I appreciated the multi-use wall mounted shampoo., conditioner and shower gel.

The suite had two tvs of equal size. I received a nice welcome amenity with some sweets and fruits and a hand-written card.

The bed met my expectations fully. There are enough outlets, but no USB-A or C outlets. The last renovation was before those outlets became common.

I am not a big fan of the bath-shower combination, but again, this hotel is a bit older.

There is an iron, safe, hairdryer, etc. I did not miss anything.

I arrived too late for the lounge food service. They also only hour alcoholic beverages for two hours.

They did have fruits and sweets out for consumption until the lounge closed.

Breakfast is not served in the lounge, but in the main restaurant. I view this as a plus, since loung breakfasts are normally worse than the full breakfast.

I considered watching a football game in the lounge bar, but it was completely empty and lacked ambience, so I went to my room instead.

My dining experience was restricted only to the breakfast. I was happy with the breakfast. It wasn't the biggest spread, but covered everything I desired. The omelette station was particularly good. Even better was the barista coffee station. I normally do not drink coffee and thing, "Wow this is great!

Down in -1 the hotel has a smallish gym, a pretty, but small pool and steam and dry saunas. I thought everything was very nice. Strangely there were no towels down there, so bring some with you from the room.
