This was an unexpected one-night stay end of March, due to misconnection in CAN airport, rudeness and total lack of care from China Southern staff (and 0 English spoken from anyone in the terminal…yes, this is one of the biggest airport and hubs in China…). Normally airlines should take care of accommodations, but it was already a nightmare to simply get rebooked on another flight. At one point, discussions were going nowhere and I decided to take my fate in hand : I noticed a Pullman sign in the terminal, so I guessed there was a Pullman nearby and thought it was the best to do. Looking on Accor app, I saw that the Pullman was right in the middle of the terminals complex and so I booked a room in 2 minutes and went straight there.
From the hotel, CAN T1 is reachable by a walkway (50m). For T2, despite it is very close, unfortunately you can’t walk and need to use the free hotel shuttle that leaves every 20 min.
Check In
I checked-in around 3 pm. I was curious to see how I will be treated as a Diamond member for a last-minute booking, in a just reopened post-Covid China. Obviously, I was not expected but the check-in agent was very courteous and spoke well English. My booking was already in their systems. I booked an Executive room for 165€. My status was well recognized and acknowledged and he said that he was looking for a room upgrade and within minutes, I was upgraded to a nice Deluxe Suite ! This a big hotel with large volumes. Occupancy was obviously not very high. Drink voucher was given.

Room
The Suite was really enjoyable, facing an inner courtyard. The living room part had guest toilets. The bedroom part had a dressing room and a large bathroom with shower and bathtub.
Soundproofing was very good, which is very important for an airport hotel.
30 min after check-in, I was pleasantly surprised to have a nice welcome amenity bring to my room. I was not expecting this, for a walk-in booking (another lesson for non-compliant hotels !).
Dining
Another strong point of this hotel is the presence of an Executive lounge in this hotel. It was not very busy, but proposes a happy hour cocktail time. There was no buffet (I guess because of low occupancy) but they bring you some canapés to your table. There is a nice bookable meeting room in the lounge.
I had a very good dinner in the Chinese restaurant (there are several restaurants in the hotel).
I used the drink voucher at the bar in the main lobby.
Breakfast is taken in the main restaurant on ground floor. The buffet proposes a selection of Chinese and western options.
Overall
Overall, a very good unexpected stay in this Pullman which offers nice rooms and a strong product. They handle very well ALL loyalty program and status (hello French hotels ???) despite a walk-in booking. I strongly recommend this hotel if you have to overnight in CAN.
