I've visited this hotel multiple times since 2006, a few months after it's opening, but this were my first 2 visits as a Diamond.
Park Suite (new Building)
First stay waswith cash+points on Jan 2015. Upgraded to a high floorPark Suite on the new building at check-in (with no request from my part).
View from new Building to Palace
City View
The suite was very big room with a large desk that separated bed from sofa area. Next to this was a long hallway that included badroom and dressing room.
Living area. Included a Nespresso machine with 9 complimentary capsules. 2 free bottled water. Fruit and Chocolate Strawberries.
Desk / TV stand. Tv is Bang and Olufsen, kinda old.

Park Executive Suite (old Palace Building)
Second stay was on March 2016. 2 nights with a Gift Certificate. Requested mybutler via email if I could have a room at the Palace building but got a response saying that it was subject to availability. At check in I was assigned aPark Executive Suite (again with out a request from me) at the new building, I asked if there was availability at the Palace and was told that only for the first night so I would have to change on the second day, I agreed to that.
View from garden to Palace
The suite was gorgeous, the best room I ever got on this hotel, and probably any other hotel until now. It is a mix of classical buidling with modern furniture. It featured a small hallway with Bar on the right, and toilet on the right, then there was the living room with 2 big windows that opened to a view of the garden. The bedroom had two more windows, an open dressing areaand then the bathdrom .

The problem with this room, and the Palace building (including the Spa that is underground) is that there is a cigar Bar in the first floor. They apparently NEVER close the door from the lobby to the bar so the smoke inundates the whole area, goes downstairs to the Spa, upstairs to the rooms, making the building virtually a Smoking Area (even though ironically there are Non Smoking signs everywhere). As a Non Smoker I really hated this, I complained to 2 managers who were very understanding but until the moment we checked out on the 3rd day the door was stillkept opend at all times..... I hope this changes in the future, best option would be that they just closedownthe damn cigar bar.
Park Executive Suite (new Building)
On the second day we moved to the new building Suite as planned. This room is very much like a luxury apartment (without kitchen). I was assigned a low floor and the windows opened to Posadas street. The street is very narrow and you can see other people'saparments on the other side,I felt like one more of their neighbours :).

Overall
For it's age (almost 10 years) this hotel is in excellent condition and one of the best in Buenos Aires, topped only bythe recently renovated Four Seasons, and maybe Alvear Palace you if you like very classic style. Service, ofcourse, is almost perfect!
I never noticed the smoke problem on the Palace building before, most of my stays have been in the new building. They should really fix this ASAP, the luxury enviroment is ruined by the smoke you have to breathe.
