Stats

Just finished up a short stay here and was very impressed.  I typically stay at the Westin, but I think this will now be my go to place in Nashville.

Check In

At check-in I was upgraded to a studio suite as a platinum without having to ask and I was also given the choice of points or breakfast.  I didn't get a ton of details on breakfast, but I was told I could order in the restaurant or from room service.  I chose room service and the entire amount was taken off the bill before I checked out.

Room

1_20180131_151323.jpg1_20180131_151311.jpg20180131_151303.jpgThe studio suite is more of a junior suite setup, with no door separating the living room and bedroom, but it was plenty big and had nice furnishings.  The sofa in the room also had a pullout bed, which would be great if you're traveling with friends or children.  The bathroom was really big for a historical hotel, and it had a nice walk in shower and a separate room with a toilet next to the dual vanity.

The room was pretty high tech with lots of plugs, electronic shades and blinds and entire room control from most of the switches.

Dining

I didn't eat at the main restaurant, but had drinks one evening at the bar, coffee at the Drug Store Coffee downstairs, and room service breakfast.  Everything I had was pretty good, and service was always very quick.  I thought the prices were a little high for Nashville, but otherwise had no complaints.

Room service is a little weird in that the food comes in a to go bag.  I prefer to have a nice setting and real silverware, especially at a nicer hotel, but the food was good and it was always delivered very quickly so can't complain too much.

There are no coffee makers in the room, but the hotel will deliver complimentary coffee between 6 & 8am.  The coffee shop downstairs was also great and had lots of specialty coffee.

Location

I didn't get to explore much, but there were several restaurants, bars and coffee shops within walking distance.

Overall

Overall, this is a great new option in Nashville and I will definitely try it again on my next trip.  I was actually surprised this wasn't a luxury collection property, because everything about it (other than the small room service menu and to go bag delivery) was in line with other luxury collection properties.

My only real complaints are that the elevators were a little slow and I could also hear a decent amount of road noise from the room.  The construction certainly wasn't helping, but you could definitely hear cars on the street below.  Not super surprising for an older property in downtown, but it could be problematic for llight sleepers.
