Stats

Mid-stay here now.

1- Internet is very fast and no issues connecting/dropping. Speeds at peak hours are 40 Mbps down and up to 60 Mbps down during non-peak. Only 2 Mbps up though... may be tough to Skype.
2- Breakfast is still good, not much change. Lots of choice, some veggie options too. Easily can enjoy for long term stays.
3- Upgraded to Suite as usual. 100% suite upgrades here. Excellent Platinum recognition for rooms.
4- I dislike Bamboo Chic Platinum happy hour. The servers are super friendly but the bar itself is dark and just not fun. And the bites they give are mostly meat... not veggie friendly at all. They do give nuts at least.
5- Pool remains small and uninviting. Gym is barely usable. Room is decently large but they are missing so much equipment and the few aerobic machines they have are the cheap kinds. Much room for improvement here.
6- Had a lot of trouble at checkin... was very slow. Took almost 15 minutes. Not acceptable.
7- Found a lovely Thai restaurant behind the Le Meridien, Ruen Urai. It's inside the Rose Hotel right behind the Le Merdien down the alleyway. Wish I knew of it sooner, I've been missing out!

Due to price, suite upgrades and breakfast it's still a good stay. But without suite upgrade I'd be highly disappointed.
