Hotel Reisen

We checked in at 0300 - so late because out BA flight had been considerably delayed. There was no issue at all and they were very friendly and super helpful. Both my friend and I had been booked on a Hyatt Privee rate (I am Globalist she is not) and we were both upgraded to a Deluxe Sea View room - more on the room later! 

My room - 105 was wonderful. First off the view was great and despite looking over the street and being on the 1st floor, I never heard anything from outside! The bed was super comfortable, although seemed to be a twin pushed together with two single duvets - not an issue but a little odd. We were given a lovely gift of face products for our Privee gift and there was lots of water in the room which was also replenished daily. 

The bathroom was great - albeit the slow draining shower meant the floor got pretty wet - but it was great other than that. Very bright - lots of places to put your stuff round the sink and the hairdryer was very good quality. The aminities were attached to the wall but again, of good quality. I don't mind hotels doing this if they put decent stuff up - I hate it when it feels cheap!

The room was really good and I didnt want to leave my bed in the morning!

Service throughout was spectacular - from the friendly front desk welcome, to the staff in the busy breakfast reastaurant - I could not fault the service here.

Breakfast was included in our rate and was very good. The buffet had a choice of hot and continental breakfast, with some great quality items. My friend is Gluten Intollerant and was very impressed with the separate bit for the bread and toaster for that allergy - she commented it was one of the best she had seen!

We also had some snacks in the hotel bar which were also of very good quality - and while we didnt eat a proper meal in the restaurant, we sort of regretted that at the end of the stay! We spent a lovely evening the in the bar - whcih was obviously popular with the locals and did very good cocktails and wines - the bartenders were very attentive, knowledgable and friendly too.

The hotel was very central and close to old town. Stockholm is quite a trek from ARN but we used SwedenTransfers from the airport which were OK - despite our late arrival they picked us up albeit it work a little effort to contact them to arrange a meeting! 

Overall I would really recommend this hotel - it was truely a comfortable and friendly place to stay - and we got good value from the Hyatt Privee rate. We didnt use the spa although we saw plenty of folks walking to it while we were sat in the bar - a little odd I guess...!

Definately will be back in the summer to see the highlights again.
